Applying Kumkum on the forehead facilitates the proper rhythm of blood supply to facial

muscles, which in turn provides instant relief from headaches. The KumKum represents the

Baktha or the devotee. The forehead mark serves as a reminder that a devotee of god should

always remain protected at the feet of god. It’s also applied by Hindu women in their hair parting
