Varalakshmi Viradham comes in the month of Aavani ( Aug – Sep) Suklapaksha Friday (the Friday that comes before Sravana masa Pournami). It will be done by Sumangalis of the family. Worshiping Goddess Sri Lakshmi will bestow prosperity to the family. The families, where in it is not a custom but wish to start, can do the pooja with a family where it is a custom and continue to do it from then on.
